Nocturnal me

If you have ghosts, you have everything
If you have ghosts, you have everything
You can say anything you want
And you can do anything you want to do
If you have ghosts, you have everything

One never does that
One never does that
You can call it surprise, there it is
And a part of it is me
One never does that

In the night I am real
In the night I am real
The moon to the left is a part of my thoughts
And a part of me is me
Forever is the wind
In the night I am real

The Story

This project was inspired by the idea that history is not just a record of events, but a layered narrative shaped by perspective, power, and survival.

It imagines a storyteller—REVJC—who experiences echoes of past civilizations, traditions, and teachings across time. Rather than presenting a single version of truth, the album explores what happens when fragments of history, mythology, and personal identity intersect.

The inspiration draws from:

  • Generational storytelling
  • Cultural memory and transformation
  • The human search for meaning and connection
  • The blending of ancient wisdom with modern expression

At its core, the album is about remembering—then reinterpreting—what it means to be human, spiritual, and connected across time.

SUMMARY:

Pauperes Commilitones Christi Templique Salomonici is a 20-track mythic narrative that blends pop-rock songwriting with esoteric storytelling, presenting a symbolic timeline of human civilization through the lens of hidden knowledge and suppressed traditions.

The album begins in a pre-diluvian world—an advanced civilization that understood energy, consciousness, and plant-based sacraments as tools for divine communion. Following a global cataclysm, fragments of this knowledge are carried into Egypt, where sacred architecture, alchemical practices, and initiatory rites are encoded into monuments and priesthood traditions.

The narrative then shifts to the emergence of Christ as a teacher of inner awakening, reframing divinity as a lived experience rather than institutional authority. His teachings, and the lineage associated with them, become a central thread that later intersects with the formation of the Knights Templar—an order tasked with preserving sacred knowledge discovered beneath the Temple in Jerusalem.

As the album progresses, it explores the persecution and suppression of this knowledge—culminating in the events of 1307 and the dissolution of the Templar Order. The story continues through the Iberian Peninsula during the Alhambra Decree of 1492, where families carrying spiritual and cultural traditions are forced into exile, assimilation, or secrecy.

The final act follows the migration of these traditions into the New World, where they intersect with indigenous knowledge systems, natural medicine, and cosmological understanding. The album concludes in the present day, where the narrator recognizes their role as a carrier of this lineage—not as a claim of dominance, but as a responsibility to awaken, heal, and unify.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT (FOR LINER NOTES / PRESS)

This album draws inspiration from multiple historical periods and movements, including:

The rise and suppression of the Knights Templar (12th–14th century)
The Alhambra Decree of 1492, which forced religious conversion or exile in Spain
Early Christian sects (Essenes, Gnostics, desert mystics)
Medieval movements such as the Cathars, known for alternative spiritual practices
Cross-cultural exchanges between Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas
The preservation and transmission of knowledge through oral traditions and encoded symbolism

The project explores how knowledge systems evolve, fragment, and re-emerge across generations—often shaped by power structures, cultural exchange, and survival.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL & CULTURAL INSPIRATION

The album references and is inspired by:

Ancient Egyptian architecture and symbolic design (e.g., pyramids, temple alignments)
Early manuscripts and translations such as the Septuagint
Medieval cathedral geometry and sacred architecture
Artifacts and myths surrounding the Ark of the Covenant and Holy Grail
Cross-cultural mythologies involving floods, divine descent, and rebirth
Indigenous knowledge systems involving plant medicine, cosmology, and land stewardship

These elements are used symbolically and artistically, not as literal claims, but as part of a broader exploration of human curiosity, spirituality, and storytelling.
